The best time is usually during warmer weather conditions, ideally in the spring or fall when temperatures are mild and there’s less direct sunlight.

The life depends on a few factors, including the quality of the stain you chose, the warm and/or cooler weather conditions, the amount of foot traffic your deck experiences, and overall maintenance. In most cases, it can last between 2 to 5 years.
Following the manufacturer’s advice and our personal experience, it is recommended to apply two coats of stain for better protection and an even finish.
To play it safe, we recommend steering clear for at least 24-48 hours before walking on a freshly stained deck. We want to give the deck a chance to dry and cure properly!
